In this post, I will explain how you can do this with ease.
How To Search For Domain Name
First, let’s start by knowing how to search for domain name availability. There are thousands of website out there that allows you search for your domain name availability for free. E.g. www.whois.com, www.godady.com, www.hostgator.com . These websites have made it easy for you to search for your domains. All you need to do is type in your proposed domain name and click on search to see if the domain is available. If the domain is available, you will proceed to payment. But if not available, you will be offered other domain alternatives that are available. You may be asked if you want to look up to see who owns the domain. Some domain search website like www.godaddy.com, may give you the option to reserve that domain name, should it become available in the future.
How To Get an Attractive Domain Name
Now that you have understood how to search for a domain name lets tackle the difficult part which is how to get a domain name that can catch people’s attention. There are two main methods with which you can achieve this, they are the “keyword method” and the “brand name method”.
The keyword method simply involves looking for a domain name that is rich in keyword. Before you use this method make sure that the keyword is connecting to your niche. Let’s look at an example for more clarification, if you want to put up a website for people that are looking for an office space, a domain name option to this may be www.officespace.com you can see that the domain is very catchy and it is connected to the niche which is very important.
Brand Name Method
The second option of choosing a catchy domain is to create a brand name. This method is very easy to search for availability, but it may be very expensive to promote because it is not connected to a niche, e.g. www.google.com, www.yahoo.com. If you have been in the internet business for long, you would have noticed that these brands were built from the scratch but with lots of internet marketing and advertising they are now giants in the internet world.
I believed with any of the two methods above, you should be able to get a good domain name for your online business. If you need more information please send me an email email@example.com see you next time
