The result for now, might not be so great but at list, you have started on a good note. Before we begin, let me remind you that SEO is a complex internet marketing tool we are only looking at the basic steps to get you started for now.
Get a NicheOk, let’s begin, the aim of every SEO project is to drive traffic to your website via search engine results. So the first thing you need to do is to know what people are searching for that is related to your product or services. And that becomes your niche or keyword. If you do not know how to get a good niche please visit my post "Niche Marketing development Strategy" to learn how to get a good niche. Let’s say you have a website that offers sale, of a medical product, like a cream that cures acne. You could use "cure for Acne" as your niche for your SEO. But you must use a keyword search tool to know the level of traffic and competition that niche has. Try not to go for a niche with too much competition as a starter.
Write An ArticleNow that you have your niche, the next step on you SEO project is to do a write up on the service or goods you are marketing. You can create a page that talks about this product using your niche. You should make sure that your keyword density is between 2%-4% (keyword density is the percentage a keyword or niche appears on a page compared to the total number of words). Your content should be educational, problem-solving and straight to the points. Please note that the write up has to be on the page where you want the traffic to land.
Web Page OtimizationWith a good niche and a website content, let’s take the last step to this simple SEO project. You will now need to optimize the page we have created for search engines. To do this you will place the keyword or niche that you used in your content in some key places on your web page like your URL, Page title, H1 tag, H2 tag, Image File Names and Image alt tag. This makes your website noticeable by search engines and improves your ranking after some time.
